EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
The HSIE Faculty at Marsden High School invites expressions of interest from Year 9 and Year 10 students interested in attending an Overnight Excursion to Northern Territory
Proposed sites to be visited include Alice Springs (including the Royal Flying Doctor Service and MacDonnell Ranges), Kings Canyon, Uluru and a day in the Wanmarra Aboriginal Community.
(Note: the full itinerary will be posted on social media and the school’s website at a later date).
If the excursion has sufficient interest and school approval the proposed dates are from Wednesday 1st July, 2020 until Wednesday 8th July 2020.
The cost for transport, accommodation, entry to attractions, all meals and travel insurance is approximately $2000.
The purpose of the overnight excursion is to enrich and extend the learning of your child, in a unique historical setting.
There are a maximum of 38 vacancies, chosen on the basis of your application. Finalisation of placements will be at the Principal’s discretion. Placements will also be dependent on the student having a demonstrated capacity to uphold the CARE values of Marsden High School.
The completed Expression of Interest form should be returned to Ms. Van Der Kley in the HSIE Staffroom ASAP.
Your application must be submitted in writing and answer the following question: Why do you wish to attend the overnight excursion to the Northern Territory in 2020? What do you see as the educational benefits of this excursion for you, personally and for the school community?
There is a $500 non-refundable deposit to be paid upon selection.
