Premier's Reading Challenge
Just a reminder that the Premier's Reading Challenge is still happening regardless of the online learning situation, in fact you all now have even more time to read books! I have provided links below to the student page for the PRC and the PRC booklist page, please explore these at your own leisure!
Students will need to click on the 'log-in' button in the top right corner and log in with their DET student email and password (the same one as primary school). When logged in, a picture will appear in the same corner - this is YOUR ACCOUNT page. Here students can see their reading log and add books to it once they have finished reading them. PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO ADD COMPLETED BOOKS TO YOUR READING LOG!

Wheeler's eBooks Service
It is very similar to the information you posted on my behalf last year but with some slight changes:
The Marsden library has managed to secure full access to the ePlatform eBook service provided by Wheelers books. The service is completely free and available to all students and includes over 1600 eBooks. There are a number of posters around the school with instructions to access the service but I will clarify: The digital collection can be accessed through any browser at the following link - https://marsdenhs.wheelers.co/- or there is an IOS/Android/Windows app available to download for free (links below).
Once on the app, simply search Marsden High School in the 'Find your library' tab to gain access to our school's collection. The site/app will not prompt you to log in until you go to loan a book, use your NSW DET student log on username and password to log in (e.g. my username is thomas.johnson68 with my normal DET password).
There are a number of tutorial videos and FAQs on the ePlatform website but if you have any questions/book requests or any issues with the service please don't hesitate to send me an email or come see me in the Library. Happy reading and listening!

The platform also includes a number of customisable settings for readers with dyslexia, information on how to access these is listed below:
1. Click on 'Settings' (found on the top right corner).
2. In the 'Settings' window scroll down until you see the 'Recommendations' box.
3. In the 'Recommendations' box, click on ‘Apply Dyslexia settings'.
